If you like to stand on your hands and forearms, then you will most definitely love standing on your head! Some of the most beneficial inversions come from our ability to stand on our heads. Sirsasana (headstand) and all its variations promote better circulation throughout the body, improve digestion and elevate your mood just to list a few. Due to the pressure on the crown of the head, the pituitary gland, which releases endorphins in the brain, is stimulated, giving way to a happier and calmer yogi. In this workshop yogis will learn to safely and effectively approach headstand, using their shoulders, upper back and core center. Expect to go over the variations you know, plus a few new ones.
