Lake Wörthersee Ultra Trail | WSUT

The Wörthersee Ultra Trail is one of the most beautiful trails in Europe! On the one hand breathtaking viewpoints on Austria's most popular bathing lake. On the other hand, a wide variety of terrains and demanding passages - there is something for everyone.

The Wörthersee Ultra Trail is a mountain running event where, depending on the format, runners are required to cover a distance of 21 to 72 kilometres and up to 2600 metres in altitude. But if the running is too hectic for you, you also have the possibility to walk the distance during the 21km trail walk!

After 9 years of "Trailmaniak" with organizer Mario Schönherr, the Ultra Trail Trail Running Event is opening a new chapter since 2018. First of all, the team "Mach 3" will be the new organizer. Secondly, there are six different competitions in which you can participate. And thirdly, with the Trail Running City in Pörtschach there will be a really cool location as a worthy centre of the event.

The Wörthersee Ultra Trail is one of many events at Lake Wörthersee which clearly underlines the position as the No. 1 lifestyle holiday destination in Austria. Nowhere else are there legendary event formats with such a Mediterranean feeling. In addition, the breathtaking scenery of Lake Wörthersee and the high-quality infrastructure of the popular tourist region.

The sports events play a major role in this. Because the Wörthersee sports arena is the ideal backdrop for great emotions, extreme best performances, indescribable winner stories and just as much for personal defeats. At Lake Wörthersee, athletes experience all heights and indescribable feelings of happiness on the one hand, and on the other hand the downside. In short: this is sport from its most intensive side.

Be part of the Wörthersee Ultra Hikes such as the Magic Midsummer Solstice Hike on the 1st Saturday after the summer solstice, the Golden Autumn Hike on 26 October and the Wörthersee EXTREM on the 1st Saturday after New Year's Day.

Or e.g. at the top running events or triathlon events at Lake Wörthersee such as the Ironman Austria, the Wörthersee Triathlon 2575 or Kärnten Läuft.
